Five Fine Things, No. 15
Five Things Worth Sharing Today
Hi! Checking in from another short week. This one is short on both ends for me, with MDW behind us and a trip to Vegas tomorrow for the country’s two largest jewelry events. I’ll be sourcing new vintage pieces and attending a trade show where we’ve discovered everything from our favorite chain suppliers to the most beautiful leather and suede packaging that we now use.
One thing I did this past (exceptionally rainy) weekend was to finally get around to creating a spreadsheet with all of my art logged. I have a small but growing collection of pieces and knew I needed to better organize the details, prices, and authentications of them all, so that felt really good to get done! I’ll share more about that in my next Five Fine Things, which I’ll be dedicating to my favorite artists and some tips on sourcing.
On the personal front, I didn’t shop as much this month as last (so no dedicated shopping newsletter to share), and most of the good stuff I’ve gotten I’ve shared throughout the past month’s newsletters. I did seem to do more online shopping this weekend than seems responsible (I’ll blame the bad weather), so I hope to have some good things to tell you about once those arrive.
And, if you’re local to NYC or visiting this summer, the best things I’ve eaten lately are everything on the menu at the bar at Sailor, the cabbage rolls and mango sticky rice from Thai Diner, the best Cesar Salad at Leo, and the ham and butter sandwich from Bakeri in Greenpoint.
Soft Pants Summer

Have you heard this idea of Soft Pants Summer? Maybe it’s a Substack thing but I’ve seen it come up a few times and as a pants person, I am here for it. I have acquired a few good ones lately and wanted to share! These are my favorites:
J Crew Cosmo Pant - These are just easy and the perfect summer weight!
Rag & Bone Atlas Linen Pants - these are cool and casual and comfortable. I love the stitching detail and paracord tie.
Silk-Like (but much easier than real silk) Pants form Left on Friday - These are so comfortable and easy! They are a high waist style and I think very flattering with an extra long leg.
Alex Mill Linen Hudson Pant - I really like the quality of their linen! The same listing also has cotton ones that I didn’t like the material for, so be sure to go with linen if you want my rec. I like that there is elastic only in the back which makes these feel a bit more pulled together.
The Best Vacuum Ever - This Dyson with Light
Every time I’ve used this lately, I have been thinking “everyone needs to know about this vaccum!” Vacuuming is not a chore I usually like but when you have this specific Dyson attachment, where there is this green light that lights up the floor in front of you, and every spec of dust on it, it’s addicting! It shows so much more than you would otherwise see and makes it like a game where you want to get everything. We vacuum our main floor everyday and still I’m surprised by how much there is to pick up. I seriously love this thing! You can get the whole cordless (essential) vacuum here, or if you already own a Dyson, you can get just the attachment here. The Dyson website does not advertise this well, so trust me on it!
This is my favorite candle brand and so I love that you can get their fragrances in a bottle form too. This looks chic in a bathroom (for obvious purposes) or works on a display shelf if you want to add a spritz to change the mood of a space. My current favorite scent is Abd El Kader, and you can find all the others on their site. This also makes a great gift, and it lasts forever!
Amazing (Trader Joe’s) Dark Chocolate
We go to Trader Joes regularly in our house for basics like oats, berries, and this chocolate bar. I love very dark chocolate and this one in particular is amazing. If you also like it dark, I highly recommend this!

My straws! And, I just realized that these glasses are also Zara Home! I’m telling you, they have such great stuff! I’ve probably mentioned it here in the past, but I love Zara Home! I’m always taking a little scroll on the app to see what’s new and often finding really good stuff! These short glass straws are great for anything you’re serving in a shorter glass. I use them for my morning iced matcha and they bring me joy - I just ordered a second set so I can have enough for entertaining. Some other great Zara Home finds from recently (all of which I own and like) include:

Some Zara Home favorites I own and love This side table I have at my desk in maroon and love
These chrome little cups that I use for nuts or for serving snacks to Richie (they’re unbreakable!)
This tray, great for serving or for a coffee table or shelf display
These side tables which I have two sets of (4 in total) in our TV room
The best trash can, because it has a lid/cover!
I will say, Zara Home does many things in limited runs so if I like something I try to buy it quick! There were quite a few more things I wanted to recommend to you that I’ve loved recently but they’re already sold out.
Talk soon!

I love the silk like fabric from Left on Friday! It really feels so airy and looks really interesting, yet washes like a dream!
I believe I need the Zara side tables!!
